On the 4th Day of Christmas ...

... this blogger gave to thee ...

... four private spaces...
... three things unfired...
... two little birds...
... and a corner shop made of felt.

Throughout my life, I have always hated when I was working, having someone peer over my shoulder and in particular that peering that only teachers and curious parents can do, that leads to instant onset paranoia.

I actually found working around people really quite hard until university, where actually working in a big open jewellers workshop with people all around me actually seemed to be be conducive to work. But still, every time you'd sit at your desk, you'd be in your own little bubble, adorned and arranged however worked best for you, despite the identical nature of the spaces.

This is what I like about the Koloro-Desk created by Torafu Architects. You take a box...
... you coat the interior of the plywood cube with a colour polyester coating, leaving little windows to give you more or less privacy and shelving, allow special holes to place pot plants, a matching stool and a pendant light and you have your own private studio of design. A place to nest at ease.
You could easily have a beautiful little studio space. A dressing table to contain the insane amount of cosmetics you accumulate over the year. A play space or doll house for your children...
His and hers office spaces to keep your work lives separated and quell any arguments over who's the messiest (I will admit to being the owner of a messy jewellers bench. However I also have a giant clear down at the end of most projects, where everything goes back to where it's supposed to live. Boxing my space off would be conducive to the sanity of any potential relationship.)
The Koloro-desk and Koloro-stool, are part of the Ichiro-series were designed to showcase the technique used by Ichiro, a decorative plywood company and show their customers their dedication to accurately and consistently custom tinting their polyester coated plywood products. (The name Koloro, comes from the Esperanto word for colour and the companies desire to show off their vibrant selection of colours.)

Designed to showcase the companies product and allow you to create your own environment within these petite private spaces.
