On the 4th Day of Christmas...

... this blogger gave to thee...
...  four filmic covers ...
... three low light lovelies ...
... two sassy sweatshirts...
... an ode to 2016.

Good evening on the fourth day of Christmas, hopefully by now everyone has recovered from the pre-Christmas madness, the insanity that is Christmas Day, the joy of an almost relaxing Boxing Day and, well,  Tuesday... Tuesdays aren't necessarily a stressful day, but let's face it post Christmas it usually takes two or three days to wind down successfully.

The question for today is, what is your opinion on movie poster books covers? Are you pro or against?

Personally, and for all members of my immediate family, they are wrong and to be avoided at all costs. I have no desire to have Carey Mulligan or Keira Knightly staring out at me from my bookshelves, even if that particular book has been made into the most spectacular movie. So given the option between a poster cover and another design, I will always pick the other design. The only exception I have is a copy of Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro. I has genuinely irked me since I got it out of the bag at home.

These movie book posters designs by Kevin Keeton from CreativeSpectator on Etsy, however would be an acceptable alternative, featuring within the Penguin Classic style layout, slightly sinister Enid Blyton style illustrations of children in what looks like pretty inappropriate playground activities...

See, exactly what you want your kids doing in the playground during break times.

I only wish CreativeSpectator would come out with more of these posters for different films, four just isn't enough. But it's perfect for today!

Merry Christmas! Part five tomorrow...

Fuck you 2016!
