Christmas Wishes...

To anyone who reads my blog, whether you're family, friends or complete strangers who happen to have come across my blog, I wish you all a very Merry Christmas, though I admit it's a little late.

I'm posting this today because whether I was going to put out this years 12 Days of Christmas has been a little up in the air.

The honest truth is that my grandpa has been having some health issues which has meant that he and my gran have needed more help from the whole family. Which is just what you do for your loved ones. But things have been a little chaotic since the summer anyway, between one thing and another, and I'm not quite sure where the last few months have gone, let alone the last few days.

I genuinely hope that you all had a good holiday, whether you celebrate Christmas or not. I hope you had fun, maybe got some nice presents, had a nice dinner and drinks and some time with your families. Fortunately, here with me and my family, I think we had a pretty good Christmas. Even if it was a little more complicated and stressful than previous years. Which is a damn miracle.

As to the 12 days...

... I'm going to get them out dammit! Whether it takes me 'til next Christmas or I can get them all done by the 12th day (January 5th), I'm going to try because (a) I want too, (b) I hope you want me too and (c) my family not only kept asking if I was going to do it, but when I said I might not, kept telling me that it would be a shame if I didn't...

... my family, guilting me into stuff since 1985! (Love you rabid weirdos!)

Anyway, the posts will be published. I will attempt to make them not too ramshackle and if I can get enough of the posts out and back on track by New Years, I will be over the moon! Now that the real insanity of Christmas is over, I will at least get them all out, because I'm going to feel like crap if I don't. Plus what was the point of me spending a year making a damn playlist for day twelve if I don't use it!

In the end, I like Christmas, I like writing these posts and I appreciate everyone who reads them. Even if you just look at the pictures and click through to the links.

So I'll have the first post up pretty quickly after this goes up and look out for the rest.

Merry Christmas to all, Happy Holidays, Seasons Greetings and even a happy [insert day of the week] depending where you are and when you see this...

Love,
Emily xxx
