On the 6th Day of Christmas ...

... this blogger gave to thee ...
... six party frocks...
... five gold rings! ...
... four private spaces...
... three things unfired...
... two little birds...
... and a corner shop made of felt.

Dresses. Dresses. Dresses. Is the call that goes up from my sisters around the 6th  Day of Christmas. They love the dresses and shoes in typical girlie fashion, but without fail one of the dresses I've chosen they will not approve of...

However. Sod them. I'd wear them all!

Cynthia Steffe Floral Metallic Fit and Flare Dress in Rich Black, but it's that gorgeous metallic red that's made me kind of obsessed by this dress. I'd wear this without any hesitation.

By the way, I'll apologise now, I went onto Nordstrom's website to look at dresses and got stuck in a computer stalling loop of prettiness. So there are a few on this list which I would never be able to afford let alone fit! But they are pretty.
Gap Splatter Fit and Flare Dress in Blue. Imagine this dress with some gorgeous shoes (see tomorrow) and the right accessories, this could definitely go from an every day dress to a going out dress. Plus, you could definitely DIY this with some fabric paint, or a bit of bleach... which would be handy seeing all but a few sizes are sold out.
Jacquard Midi Prom Dress from ASOS. Pale, shiny and luminous, not three things I would normally look for in a dress, in fact three I would actively avoid, but I love this dress, it make me want to swish, though not as much as...
... this proper ninety-fifties Bridgitte Bardot style dress, again from ASOS. It's called the Sunflower Bardot Midi Prom Dress and yep, I want it, I want to swish and twirl and wear a petticoat and, to just be beautiful for once. I know with prints like this there's a chance of looking a bit like a beautifully upholstered sofa, but in this dress I'd probably cope.
Okay, back to Nordstrom's and the Eliza J Dot Jacquard Fit and Flare Dress (Petite) in Black and Gold. Looking at this name/dress... is this a fit and flare? I definitely see the fit, but I'd say it was more of a tulip skirt. Anyway, I love this, it's got polka dots (I love polka dots), it's sparkly and simple and elegant, and again, right accessories could be good for every day and going out... if it wasn't for the price tag.
And lets round off with a proper, full blown gown. The Adrianna Papell Shimmer Jacquard Gown in Orchid from (can you guess) Nordstrom's. I'd really love a maxi dress, but it's hard to find a good one which will suit, so I wanted one of my list and it's was between this and a lovely floral dress. But this won as it seemed a little more like a dress for New Years. Just imagine the count down and being covered in falling ticker tape confetti...

That is how all New Years parties end, isn't it?

Are you telling me Goldie Hawn and the New Years dream sequence in Overboard lied to me?

I'm shocked!

Shocked I tell you!
