pantone tart

In 2012, for culinary magazine, Fricote, French food designer and blogger, Emilie Guelpa created a series of sweet and savoury tarts recreating the iconic colour swatches of Pantone. Using the ingredients within her recipes as her colour palette, she makes Passion fruit cheesecake; pear rice pudding; cotton candy and marshmallow tarts; mojito cream tart and dark chocolate and coconut tarts, each created within a rectangular tart base, with the traditional strip of white and beautifully styled and photographed.

It's like the geometric love child of Pantone and the pies made in the film, Waitress. And definitely good enough to eat.

Now, three years on, Guelpa has released a book of her Rainbow Tarts, recipes included.

It will be heading into my Amazon basket pretty soon.
